I despise Go Daddy.
Whenever I have the chance, I advise friends, family and clients to steer clear.
There are several reasons why (SOPA/PIPA flip-flop included), but the one reason that fuels my outspoken demeanor are the breasts.
If the Super Bowl ads weren’t bad enough, every other promotional email piece and each and every Go Daddy website visit flashes your eyes with airbrushed blondes and brunettes.
It’s cheap. It’s gross. It’s demeaning to women and insulting to men.
But now there’s a new sheriff in town, and that’s all about to change!
Meet Warren Adelman
Warren Adelman is the new CEO of Go Daddy and he’s ready to make some changes.
From here on out, Adelman wants Go Daddy to be more about domain names and customer service and less about cleavage.
In fact, Adelman hints that the next Super Bowl ads will have a much different flavor. A good thing, especially when you consider that only 60% of Go Daddy customers are men.
Of course, this all remains to be seen.
I just hopped on the Go Daddy website and although there are still blondes and brunettes, at least there seems to be less bust.
Do you think Adelman can turn Go Daddy around?

“Whenever I have the chance, I advise friends, family and clients to steer clear.”
Same here i consider them to be an immoral company.
Eric Dye says
Yeah. They’ve got a lot of changing to do before I stop with this advice.
Bill says
two other reasons to steer clear – 1.intentionally confusing and deceptive pricing schemes, 2. which end up pushing prices above the competition.
Eric Dye says
THAT and more!
James Cooper says
Be interesting to see. The slimy ‘.co’ ads have sadly even made it onto UK tv…
Eric Dye says
They’ve taken their slim world wide, eh? *sigh* Hopefully that changes …
David says
They’ve dug quite a deep hole of the years. I see no reason to jump on board until they rebuild the trust over the next several years.
Eric Dye says
Without a doubt!
DavidPohlmeier says
I’m with Bill, besides the poor marketing strategies, the website is downright confusing for most people I deal with. The whole experience is a bust.
Eric Dye says
I see what you did there 😉
… “the whole experience is a bust.”
wah-wah
Raoul Snyman says
Ditto (what else is there to say?)
Eric Dye says
😀

ELEPHANT KILLERS!
Eric Dye says
Whoa! Jared! All CAPS, even!
Carl Thomas says
I moved all my domains to NameCheap for this very reason. I have no idea why a church would use them.
Eric Dye says
Agreed. (Nice tip!)
