I’m honestly not sure what to make of Gibson’s Dusk Tiger, one of the most technologically advanced guitars out there. They call it a “Robotic Guitar”.
Check out this video:
As well as this:
I’m not a gifted musician by any stretch of the imagination, but even I can appreciate this thing.
The only price I could find is north of $4,500.00. Yikes!

Aside from the instant tuning, I prefer Roland’s Guitar modeling tech if you want quick alternate tunings and a plethora of choice for your sound:

What you have to realize is that everything you hear “from the guitar” has no analog components from the guitar he uses. It is a complete digital creation from their modeling tech (notice that he picks his guitar, pickups, amp model by pushing buttons). While it isn’t perfect yet, it’s close enough that I feel it’s great for church use to allow you to accommodate many different styles into your playing. For instance, you can start playing a Martin acoustic and switch to a Gibson ES335 in overdrive for the chorus (or actually play both guitars at the same time) all while playing your favorite guitar. It’s also much cheaper in the grand scheme of things at $1500.
While I’ve basically picked out this piece of equipment for me, I haven’t bought it because I haven’t been able to play at church for a while because of family circumstances…maybe someday life will slow down so I can get back to it and do a review from experience.

that was pretty cool.
I wonder how it affects the tone though…tone is king right?
