How many times have you been in a small group—or in my case, in a jr. youth service—and had someone request prayer along these lines:
Please pray for my mom’s aunt’s son. He’s in trouble. Pray that God would help him.
Not to knock any prayer request, but don’t they all sound the same after a while? Maybe it’s because everyone else’s Bible has one of these in the back that they use as a cheat sheet:

Humor aside, what does it say about us that our prayers requests are so generic that this rings so true?
