Wow! What a tremendous first day at SALT Nashville.
Here’s a quick recap:
Creating the Visible from the Invisible
Erwin McManus started off the conference with such a strong word on Hebrews 11:3.
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
Just like the Creator, everything we create begins in the invisible–our imagination.
“As ants create colonies, humans create futures.”
We’re all living in someone’s imagination–in a future that someone dreamed of. McManus really touched on what makes us human, what makes God the creator of our humanness, and how we too were created to be creators.
The Full Story
I actually had heard this talk from Blaine Hogan before while at STORY Nashville, but it bears repeating.
God created you to tell your story–your full story. We cannot adequately share the gospel without sharing all of who we are and crafting stories for the glory of God.
Everything Else (and there’s a lot!)
There’s so much going on at #SALT15. The speakers are great; however, I should mention that the worship has been phenomenal. Also the sets and lights are some of the best that I’ve ever seen. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. Here’s some more set photos. Follow these awesome people on Instagram to keep up with SALT.
