I’ve been super busy recently and have been unable to blog as frequently as I typically do on this blog and others. This doesn’t necessarily bother me because honestly, it is what it is.
But one of the other major contributing factors is that I know exactly what I want to blog about and if the content and material isn’t there (and I’m probably a little more picky than the average blogger) I’m just not going to blog about it for blogging’s sake.
I have though struggled at various points in my blogging career (is it a career…? hmmm) where I felt like I had run out of things to say. This is largely due to the fact that I didn’t know what I wanted to say in the beginning and didn’t have much purpose beyond self-publication and hearing myself talk.
But now I’ve found purpose and some targeted material that fires me up. It’s also sustainable (infinite really) and I’m good to go. I don’t have to fabricate interest or coverage just because.
Are you blogging for the right reasons? Do you need any reasons at all in the first place?

I know I have been dealing with the challenge of figuring out what to blog about for both of the blogs that I run. Still learning specifically why I am blogging….but its coming along…..

The tough thing for me is choosing an area to blog about. My blog is like me — a mashup of all sorts of interests — technology, worship, music, media, photography, motion graphics, politics. But the best blogs are about one topic. You always know what you're gonna get. For instance, looking at my own Google Reader subscriptions, I know Reid's is about music, Dave's is about sound, MacWorld is about computers, etc. But what is mine about??? Hmmm… Does that mean I should start a different blog about each topic or stop blogging about some topics altogether??? Tough call…

What to blog about? We will start off by saying that you must blog in your passion. Whats your Passion? If you find your Passion you wont get bored and you will never lose energy and a subject to write on. John C. Maxwell includes all the secrets in this post http://www.trigeia.com/article.php?id=6653

My passion aligned with the purpose of my blog tonight. My followers consists of a lot of unchurched folks that I interact with on a daily basis. While I hope that my life is my testimony and witness, I try to write about the Bible and what it teaches me as I read, in hopes that conversations will be fostered in person.

I believe I ran out of passion. Perhaps that's why I haven't blogged anything in 2wks.
