If you’ve not heard of Eye-Fi, they’re main product is wi-fi enabled media cards for storing photos and videos.
Aside from the standard EXIF data that can be pulled from most digital cameras, Eye-Fi affords additional functionality such as the ability to send data to the cloud from the card, the storing of your media’s geolocation information, and more.
Good stuff, I know. But this fall, it’s about to get much more interesting especially for us developers.
Some of the features you can expect from the developer program will include:
- Sending photos and videos from your application to various other media sites
- The ability to access another user’s photos and videos from within the context of your application
- Programmatically manipulate Eye-Fi card settings
- …and more
