I had the original Droid X. I liked it well enough. Then I was offered a promotional upgrade to the Thunderbolt for $150. I took it and sold my Droid X to a friend for $150. Free 4G phone FTW! 🙂

what? i wish i had gotten that offer!

I always call CS right after Verizon releases a new ‘flagship’ phone to see if my account was given an offer. I was told they only give the offer to somewhere between 200K – 300K subscribers. I think they’ve flagged my account because I go through phones like underwear (usually upgrade within a year) and I never leave VZ. So I think they’ve flagged me as an early adopter and someone who is likely to be “techy” and share their thoughts on their new devices… building hype. Which I typically do 😉

Wow pretty cool! if verizon ever gets a nexus device i might drop by Droid X early for that.

So am I. I’m curious how it will feel in my hands, the weight, etc …
