One of the fun things about being a content creator is the opportunity to create new words.
Not all words that are birthed are created equal in spendor, usage, or even sanity, but that’s not the point.
So, I hereby declare a new word: Chugly. Read on for the definition and what to do about it.

Etymology: ChurchCrunch.com, combination of ‘Church’ and ‘Ugly’: Chugly.
Date: 21st Century
1: Offensively bad ministry or church website.
2: Unpleasant looking for the eyes, oftentimes nauseating or producing the gag-reflex.
3: Likely to cause inconvenience or discomfort to site visitors.
4: An extremely poor choice of design, colors, schematic, layout, or use of imagery on a church website.
5: A ministry website that must, without hesitation, be redesigned.

Our church website is not "chugly" but it is woefully in need of regular updating. On of my MAJOR pet peeves! I've even offered to do it myself…to no avail. *sigh*

I think we should be able to submit sites for someone to determine if they are chugly. Although my blog is not specifically a church site, I would still be curious what people think about the design. I am working on an updated theme currently.
