Apparently Don Miller is… down (DonMillerIs.com).
Either someone forgot to pay the bills or someone’s a bit too famous (resulting in lots of traffic) for their current hosting setup and provider (which is HostDime.com, btw… take note!).
They apparently offer dedicated solutions, which I’m sure Don will jump on (if he doesn’t choose something else – we recommend Media Temple!!!).
Hopefully it’ll be back up soon!
We’re praying for you Don.

For the record, his posts are money.

we love don. he’s cool. we don’t like his hosting provider for taking him down. sucks!

Dumb move by hostdime. They could have easily contacted Don and given him a couple days to upgrade or buy more bandwidth to avoid the downtime. That’s what we do, even for people who are not New York Times best selling authors with very popular blogs who could easily create a PR nightmare for a company making such an inconsiderate move.
John Saddington says
seriously. providing a warning could have been the least that they could have done, right?

I was just thinking the same thing. In fact I replied to a tweet of his saying how lame it was for them to do that. The one time I had the good fortune to have my bandwidth usage sucked up (I got a link from National Review) my host contacted me. I told them what was going on and they temporarily upped my bandwidth for that month at no charge. And this was a cheapy $4.95 per month host.

traffic too high?
a pleasant problem to have.
Stephen Bateman says
Meh. He should’ve at LEAST gone with hostQuarter.com.
Justin Samsel says
I cried a little when I noticed.

Good thing Don is such a stand up guy, or this could cause some serious headaches for hostdime…
