I loved it.
We didn’t have a Commodore 64 at home (my dad actually had a Macintosh, talk about early adopters!), but my friend had one and boy, did we play games with it. If you grew up in the eighties, like I did, the Commodore 64 was pretty much it. And can you believe it, this month it’s already 30 years ago this best selling personal computer ever was released for the first time.
The BBC had a little fun with this anniversary and sent out an avid C64 fan to elementary and secondary schools to see how kids today would react to this amazing piece of technology. See for yourself if these millennial kids still recognize a joystick, a tape loader and a blue screen that doesn’t bring bad news …
Just the sound of the game loading by tape brought back fond memories for me!

Did you ever have a C64?
What is your favorite memory of it?

Haha…! Had a C64. 🙂 I remember staying inside all day to type in code from a gamer magazine – half of the time the game wouldn’t work! My fave store bought game was Blue Max.
