I was reminded of Google’s Quick Search Box for your desktop and I somehow had forgotten this enough to not disrupt my existing workflow. I had it installed on a previous system but didn’t get it moved over.

I think I have it but I don’t use it. Faster to open a new tab in Chrome and search than to figure out how to quick search or find where it is. That’s just me though.
