The things we’re able to do within our browsers are pretty amazing. Seriously, we have entire productivity suites, code editors, video players, and varieties of music applications.
Sometimes, I think we’re a little jaded – we’ve begun to expect so much from our tools that when we find one that doesn’t raise the bar, we dismiss it as less than stellar. But that’s another post for another time.
I recently came across something that even enables you to make music in your browser…!
Consider the bar raised.
Soundation is an online mix studio. It’s a flash-based application that ships with roughly 400 loops that can be used for free with additional loops and sequences available for purchase.
Soundation also provide you with hosting for your productions. Love the cloud.
The license is fair, too: Anything that you create yours and licensed to you; however, you cannot give, share, or sell the individual loops or samples.
Okay, creatives. Go make me a theme song ;).
