Nowadays, running an email campaign is serious work. Though there are many services available that help make this much easier, not everyone has the cash to drop on them.
At that point, you’re usually left with crafting the emails yourself or opting not to send them at all. Since the last option is clearly off the table, you’re left having to figure out exactly how to do all the work yourself.
Nettuts, part of The Envato Network, has just published a really slick tutorial on getting started with HTML emails and it’s absolutely worth your time.
The tutorial walks you through:
- Designing the email
- Planning the code and executing on it
- Styling the presentation
- How to test the email
Good stuff, huh?

Inline css, tables, things breaking randomly i love my weekly html email update! One thing i would suggest is using google analytics campaign tracking, or bit.ly for tracking the success of your links.
