With the new Multi-Object delete feature on Amazon S3, it is now more functional for online storage.
As I’ve said, before the multi-object delete feature, Amazon S3 felt very constrictive.
Since the announcement of multi-object delete, I began digging around for some desktop apps that would interface well with my Amazon S3 account. One of those is CloudBerry S3 Explorer and it’s available in both freeware and a paid PRO version.
Let’s take a look at what CloudBerry S3 Explorer has to offer, and enter to win 1 of 3 copies of CloudBerry S3 Explorer PRO we’re giving away!
CloudBerry S3 Explorer
CloudBerry Explorer makes managing your files on your Amazon S3 account easy. This snappy little app gives you a full interface to Amazon S3 — accounts, files and buckets!
Manage your files, just like they were on your own local PC.
If you’ve used S3Fox or AWS Consule, be prepared to make the switch. This is superior.
With the new multi-object delete, Amazon S3 is so much slicker than before!
Pretty.
CloudBerry also comes in a few other packages, in addition to Amazon S3:
- OpenStack (Beta)
- Google Storage
- Azure Blog Storage
- Nirvanix Storage
The app is available as freeware or PRO. The freeware option is really basic, but gets the job done, and the PRO version for $40, comes with some really nice features:
Sync? Encryption? Compression?

Sweet post Eric! I’ve been wondering about an app like this.
I moved one of my sites to AWS last month with the help of a friend, and I’m using several of AWS’ services, including s3 as a CDN, so this would be pretty darn helpful since I’m constantly uploading stuff to my buckets!
8Bit for life!
Eric Dye says
Sweet! How do you like it so far?
Chris Langille says
It’s awesome so far! Its so much faster than Apache it’s not even funny. In conjuntion with W3 Total Cache, my site is seriously humming.
Theres no cPanel though, so navigating the back-end, and files and what not isn’t as user friendly, which makes CloudBerry that much more valuable.
The best part is, it’s dirt cheap, and has enterprise grade tools. Can’t beat that!
Eric Dye says
Awesome. Great to hear! I’ve been wondering.

We are just beginning our relationship with AWS, and I had wondered what my options for this kind of software were. Thanks for the tip!
Eric Dye says
I’ve found using an app a HUGE help when using AWS. Very useful.
Shaun Walker says
I’ve started playing with AWS, currently using S3 for server backups with s3sync, having a desktop solution for easily managing these, as well as trying out S3 for other things would be great
