Oddly enough, these are real Christian dating ads …
Strange but true. And believe it or not, there’s more. These ads can be found on the sides of London transports. The U.K. Christian dating site hired Chas Bayfield, the creative director of the London ad agency Noah, to come up with this ad campaign. He had this to say about the ads:
“The aim was to break Christian Connection out of the ghetto, by taking them away from cloying sentimentality and into the mainstream through wit and tapping into popular culture, with a campaign that is contemporary and relevant — something many church organizations aren’t always known for.”
Sure, church marketing often sucks — ahem — and these ads are certainly not “boring.”
What do you think?
Marketing #WIN or #FAIL?

They’re pretty tacky, but I consider the ones I see on Facebook which strongly imply you’ll find God’s will for you on their site worse. Their algorithms may well be good, but it seems manipulative to say they can work out God’s will!

Agreed.
