There have been a number of web services that have attempted to reinvent themselves over time in order to try to remain relevant. Some succeed, some fail, and for some it’s too soon to know.
For example, take Virb. They’ve been around for a few years but have recently launched a new look and offerings. And they look good…
Quite simply, Virb seeks to make it “elegant simple” to build a website. They have support for blogging, pages, social networking promotion, hosting, themes, and more.
The platform is definitely targeting people that are interested in a web presence but don’t want to deal with a lot of the management that comes with running the design and development of the site.
You can checkout the tour of the site here. They even offer some thoughts on whether or not their service works for you.
Cool. I hope this works out for them – they’ve done a great job.

Virb creates some pretty clean pages. Seems to be pretty sweet place to pump out church sermons, audio and whatnot….

Yeah – could be a totally viable alternative for those on a tight budget.
