This is the same as cloversites.com product which is really just motocms.com (flash cms system). You can get the same service from cloversites.com for $1000 or for $199 strait from motocms.com!
But I must say, don’t look at this product because it “affordable”, because it will NOT help your church grow. Flash is the worse technology you can use on your website. Google has a hard time indexing it and you will find these products are very limited in how many pages you can do or how you setup your navigation.
We have received many former clients from these companies because of the limitations and lack of marketability in the search engines.
Take a look at our company gospellabs.com or even a competitor of ours churchplantmedia.com. Both of these will do you far greater than those flash sites.
Flash is so bad for your church that I would even recommend a competitor over these companies!
Do the research and see for yourself 🙂

ChurchM.ag,
Thank you and we appreciate your continued work in resourcing the church.
John,
Unfortunately most of what you said is just not true. Without getting into all the techie details, we do not use motocms, we do offer unlimited pages, all our sites are fully searchable by Google, and we DO help churches grow by providing beautiful, visitor friendly websites that attract new guests.
Flash has its strengths and weaknesses and for a long time it really did offer the best editing experience a “non-techie” person could ever dream of. No coding, no confusing form-style editors, simply click on what you want to update and update it. Technology is always changing and there are some other great options on the horizon. HTML5/CSS3 has come a long way and will be the new web standards. It still has some way to go but it is the future of web design.
That being said, we are creating all new HTML5 designs and a new easy-to-use CMS. It will have the same click and update, visual-style editing our clients love. We are also adding a couple of really awesome image manipulation and editing tools that will make our sites even better. The new system should be ready soon!

As soon as we get a demo or video ready I’ll let everyone know.
Thanks for your support and God bless,

Good stuff, guys.

Let me start out by saying I jumped the gun by stating you use motocms. Forgive me for the wrong accusation. If I had done a bit more research I would have said FlashBlocks http://flashblocks.com/
I do stand behind my statement of this not allowing the church to grow online. Saying “we do help churches grow by providing beautiful, visitor friendly websites that attract new guests” shows lack of understanding on how to help a church grow online.
While having a great design (which honestly, you have some great designs) only helps if the visitor can find the website. The problem is that nobody can find your clients sites. They are like a beautiful uncharted island. They look great but since nobody can find them, how helpful are they? To prove my point, I looked up one of your sites. To see how many pages are indexed by google, I did a “site:http://www.believerschurch.info/” search in google. Here is the results: http://bit.ly/v0Ptng
As you can see, there are only 13 items indexed, of which most are not pages but SWF files and such. Google can’t index this site correctly or efficiently because its primarily flash. Also, when you look at the listings in google, check out what google shows for your “preview thumbnail”. For the few listings this poor church has, their is no preview.
Good UI design skills and usability focus will easily replace the need for flash as an editing tool, especially for a “non-techie”. In our church, we have a 70 year old lady who types with 1 finger and does not use computers. She uploads sermons to our CMS without almost any training, because good clean user interface can be done with regular html and javascript.
Now, if you convert your system to HTML5, then you will be making some huge progress to improvements. And I will have no argument against using HTML5 compared to Flash.
Now if you want to help the church grow, help them get listed in the search engines. Teach them how to reach others using social media. Give them the tools to make it easier for them. But please don’t think your doing so with the current tool.
BTW, in case you think I am blowing smoke, let me tell you a bit about myself. I started my career out at AOL as an interface designer way back when “You got mail” came out (1998). Over the years as my career progressed, I jumped on the Flash bandwagon and become good at it. I spoke at Flash Forward conferences and even had 2 book writing offers for Flash. But I focused my career on internet marketing more and left flash because it didn’t fit the build of what is needed. In the past couple of years, I have consulted fortune 500 companies on how to grow using online methods and have managed online marketing budgets of over 500 million dollars. About 2 years ago I felt the Lord call me to work for the Kingdom, and so I started my company GospelLabs, which it’s purpose is to grow churches using online marketing and social media.
So far we have had a great success with church growth. My zeal for the church to grow online fuels my fire and I can be harsh. I do like that your growing out of the flash mold. And I pray for you to be successful, but only if it benefits the Kingdom. The church doesn’t need anymore brochure sites, they need growth.
