I have never been a fan of WordPress’ mobile platform and their iOS application is a joke. Yet this new WordPress update has finally implemented a strong mobile responsive back-end. So regardless of what you think about the back-end changes to the desktop (I personally dislike them), you need to update so you can better blog-on-the-go.

The video above is just one of a number of videos posted where people or corporations are taking videos of helping others for good. I have already laid out if people should do church promotionals where they do community outreach, but their was something special about this one. It got my gears going on how church’s could take this idea and make it their own.

Stuff Church Techies Say: Those Guys Know Nothing
When I come to the ChurchMag blog, I am looking for something nerdy and geeky, maybe entertaining, and definitely something based on the church. As a Church Techie, I do not have those same expectations and actually hold ChurchMag in much higher regard with Church Tech then anything that Mashable, Tech Crunch, or The Verge could ever write on because they have built an authority that has established a strong influence as a blog with this topic. At the same time, I would never go to ChurchMag for help on how to translate my Greek, non-tech or geeky ways of doing discipleship, or how to serve well in hospitality ministry.

Social media has been around for over a decade, but it’s the last five years that has been revolutionary for businesses and ministries. In that time, we have seen Facebook gain a population greater than the United States, a whole marketing strategy come up that churches are only now jumping on board to use, and a huge potential for recruitment, new media, and training or preaching online for churches.
