I am currently doing a month long study for Denver Seminary and in collaboration with Youthmin.org on the impact of Social Media and Youth Ministry. If you are interested in taking the survey, it takes 10 minutes to get through and we have $40 worth of swag at the end of it as a thanks for taking it. Here is the link:

I just compiled some results after two hours of people taking it. Thought this graph was interesting, but I won’t be doing an analysis on this or any other data I share until it is all over.

If you are between the ages of 20 and 55, you probably have some kind of memories with LEGOs. For some like myself, that was the majority of your pre-teen years, making cities, castles, and sci-fi scenarios. I do not discredit those under 20 with playing with LEGOs, but the invention of Minecraft probably had a bigger impact for their lives with construction and imagination.
Google has decided to digitize this LEGO experience for builders within their Chrome browser with buildwithchrome.com. Check out the video below that has more details on how to make your own creation and then share it for the world to see.

The career is not for the faint of heart as sometimes you do not know where the next paycheck is going to come. You have to not only sell your spouse and family on the ideas you are pushing, but then the critical world. Then the terrible fate of failure and sometimes the even worse fate of success comes (more work, more problems) and you have even more to deal with.
Not going to lie, a steady paycheck and low expectations actually sound appealing many days.
But if you have the guts to take that leap and venture into entrepreneurship, here are a couple of things to consider in the process of making that decision.

The fact is that as a church tech volunteer to run the sound board or work the presentation and worship software or as a church tech staff that is overseeing and filling in with church tech responsibilities, we have a lot to do. We do not need to be taking on other people’s responsibilities too. At the same time, take your game to the next level and be an expert at your specific craft.
