This is the seventeenth article in the series App of the Week series.
Some of the best ideas are simple and easy to use. Phoster is one of those apps that is absolutely perfect for my tech quotes project where I have been sharing different quotes by tech leaders on our social media accounts. I can go from finding the quote to the image done and in my Bufferapp queue on my iPhone in just a couple of minutes.
The Good
Phoster has some advantages that make it one of the best simple graphic editors out there.
- 197 Templetes Some people would say 25 templetes are a lot, 50 are amazing, and 100 is overboard. Phoster doubles that number, just in case you did not light the first 100 versions.
- So Quick and Easy I have already promoted this, but you can get through the design quickly if you know what you want and do not want to browse.
- Social Media Sharing It is one thing to make it and save it to your phone, but a whole other to be able to instantly email, share on social media accounts, or print.
The Bad
As with any app, it has its draw backs that need to be addressed.
- Reposition Text It is great to quickly put text into the templetes and complete it, but if you wanted to customize the text of a templete, too bad.
- Not Compatible On All Phones and Tablets You may not have the same features on the iPhone 4 as you would on the iPad 2. It also has not been optimized for iPad 3 or iPhone 5.
- Not Free I was lucky enough to get it on a freebie day, but it is not necessarily worth the $1.99. Wait till Starbucks decides to give it away.
What do you like or hate about Phoster on iOS?

Just found your site and I am enjoying reading the articles. Just a heads up and you may not care but you have misspelled words and grammatical errors in almost every article on here. In this one it’s templete over and over. but the errors are in most of your articles and could discredit the work you are trying to accomplish. Again, I’m enjoying the reading.

This is one of those places where I like to vent and so I understand the need for proper grammar and such, but I do not take myself too seriously. In more professional web articles, I ensure all work goes through an editor and mistakes are caught.

Jeremy, You recently began to follow me on Twitter – @FaithandHealth. On Facebook, I like to add text/quotes to images and post them as inspiration/encouragement/teaching. Example – http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151362420748470&set=pb.125022998469.-2207520000.1370963572.&type=3&theater and http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151348071103470&set=pb.125022998469.-2207520000.1370963572.&type=3&theater I use Powerpoint and save as jpg. Not happy w/ resolution. Can you suggest a better easy to use, lowcost application? I have a Mac. Thanks and blessings, Dale

I’m assuming that a monthly subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud is not an option, even though it is much cheaper per month now?
