During these large scale events I’m typically so busy I have very little time to reflect about the events and experiences especially as they unfold. Managing chaos can be tough sometimes.
But, there were a few moments of brief clarity where I remembered; I remembered why I do what I do and what continues to motivate me.
The world, and especially people, will try to discourage you and attempt to bring you down, but we do what we do to serve an All-Loving, All-Grace-Filled, All-Powerful God of the Universe who, for some reason, decided to engage with us.
We do what we do for Christ.
If it weren’t for Christ Jesus I wouldn’t be here. Period. Not just at Catalyst but here, physically. I’d probably be dead. To have the opportunity to serve God in this way via technology is more than I could have possibly hoped and imagined.
Thank You for that.
Let’s take a moment today, during the hustle and bustle of life and ministry and remember, remember, why we do what we do.

Why, in your opinion, do we forget why we do what we do?
If our life's mission was to diffuse a bomb and it was going to take our lifetime to do it (it's a really big bomb), would the tangible presence of the bomb be enough to keep us from forgetting the goal?

Wow. this is a tough question.
I think there are far too many “shiny” goals out there and not enough realistic ones. i'm trying to do the “right” ones too.

it's easy to lose focus in our busyness…i remind myself every morning that I am God's child first in everything.
