How do you decide what you should be posting on your blog and when you should be posting?
I’m always struggling with this when it comes to ChurchMag.
I hope this infographic/flowchart that covers blog posts, social media and email newsletters helps:

I think one of the keys that isn’t really mentioned, is don’t overwhelm your audience.

Does anyone think once per day, even of the best content is too much?
And I think different channels prefer different frequencies:
Twitter: Seems like you could post more than you would on Facebook
Facebook: Seems like posting 4-5 times could be too much, but once-twice per day on Facebook isn’t too much
Anyone have any thoughts or feedback for a newbie-just-starting blogger like myself?

Like you said, it depends. Here at ChurchMag, we drop quite a few per day. However, we’re covering a lot of ground every day. For someone just starting out, I recommend figuring out a groove — one per day, five per week, or every other day — and sticking to it. See how it goes, and adjust accordingly. Blogging is a marathon, not a sprint. 🙂
