I know what you’re thinking.
“Where’s the unicorn?”
Just wait. After a few strums of this magical ukulele, a winged unicorn is sure to show up.
What does this have to do with Saturday Sunday Share?
Nothing.
Let’s take a quick look at last week’s awesomeness:
- Joanna – put some time into her blog.
- Marek – put some time into his degree.
- Paul Clifford – put some time into his video school.
- James Cooper – put some time into waiting for Standard 3 (and some other stuff).
- Raoul Snyman – put some time into OpenLP.
What have you been doing this past week?
I’m sure you’ve got something with sharing, having critiqued or have some encouraging words for those that have shared this week, right?
Whatever you have, it’s got to be better than a many playing a pink triple-decker ukelele.
James Cooper says
Whoa, triple uke 🙂
This week I have mostly been living in wordpress… creating themes, helping clients move stuff and also getting my first standard3 site going 🙂 http://sallysvintagechic.co.uk/ – not your average looking standard site me thinks…

ST3 FTW!

This week I relaunched my website, http://davidchristian.co After 15 years of just posting random stuff, I decided on a focus, created a posting schedule, came up with 30 post topics, and upgraded to a big boy theme: Standard 3! So I’ve also spent a lot of time cleaning up my site, moving irrelevant content to my other site, tweaking colors, etc. I also decided to be more intentional with my social media efforts so I added that info to my site as well. I’d love to see all of you loyal churchm.ag followers jump on so I can follow you!
AND I spent the week packing to get ready to sell my house. Headed out now to take my first load to storage…
Eric Dye says
This is awesome! Your site looks great, and getting some focus is ALWAYS a good idea.
I hope you sell your house soon!

After getting Standard 3 into place (love it), I posted about a social media thing:

Rockin’ the Standard 3 — sweetness!

The last two months have been a bit crazy but filled with work which is great as a freelancer.
I’ve cut films for New Wine and WTC – http://www.digitalcreative.tv/portfolio/new-wine-wtc-training-promos/
I’ve been designing email newsletters in mailchimp
I’ve been reworking my own blog theme and settled back on TwentyEleven of all themes. http://www.irishmark.net
I’m currently cutting two films for New Wine, getting back into AfterEffects, negotiating some website builds, learning new systems and we moved house…
Can;t wait for our summer holiday break!
Eric Dye says
Great job with TwentyEleven!
I can see why you can’t wait for summer holiday break, you were really crankin’ this week!
Raoul Snyman says
A busy week! Here’s /some/ of what I did…
1. We got our LPG heater back from some friends, and finally got the gas cylinder filled up last weekend. My son Zak was fascinated with this, and sat down in front of the heater for ages[0].
2. Zak and I picked three bowlfuls of brush cherries (from the Australian brush cherry tree) from the tree in our yard on Sunday[1], and another bowl on Wednesday evening[2]. I spent Monday[3], Tuesday[4] and Wednesday[5] evenings pitting the brush cherries (getting the pips out) and freezing them[6] in preparation for making brush cherry jam. My wife also make some muffins with them in. Tasty.
3. I bought the entire Star Wars series[7] from a friend of mine. I am amped to watch them all again!
4. I made another new track layout[8] for Zak’s wooden Thomas the Tank Engine set.

Love this share, Raoul. 🙂

I had a couple of shoots this week, one for Groupon and one for the National Geographic channel. Yeah, I know. They were advertising on Craigslist. Cool, huh?!
I finished most of the styling of a responsive WordPress theme for a local church. I started booking a blog tour for a client who writes historical fiction.
I continued to write Church Video Summer School and I’m still on track for a blog post each day for the whole summer. The biggest trip-up I had was today when I posted an hour or so late, but I still think that’s pretty good. I’m 41 in and it feels pretty good, but I’ve noticed that a lot projects get hard in the middle until you pick up speed and can head down hill. I’m starting to feel that now.
I’m starting to gain some traction due to the consistency of this schedule. I’m hoping to pick up the schedule from one a day to two a day where at least one is a guest post.

WOOT! Way to keep slammin’, Paul!
