In the UK, one of the most recognisable landmarks is the above Stone Henge (and I live about a 90 min drive from it). It’s a 5000 acient monument that marks the solstices and equinoxes amazingly accurately.
It’s pretty tough (being made of huge lumps of stone and all), but now there’s a new version of it that’s inflatable!
As part of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, artist Jeremy Deller has created a full size – bouncy – version of Stone Henge! It’s called ‘Sacrilege’ and is described by Deller as: “something for people to interact with, it’s a big public sculpture”.
I think it’s BRILLIANT! Here’s a video of a bunch of kids having a great time bouncing around on it!

Although a great bit of fun, it got me thinking…
What would we/you think if he’d made an inflatable Church? Could that be an accessible way of getting people interested in the church – or a bounce too far?
