If you’re anything like me then one thing we have in common is purchasing domains and then (hopefully) using them.
I’ve learned from firsthand experience that if I don’t get the domain asap it’s taken by a “squatter” – I’ve literally gotten up, gone to the fridge, and gotten back and it’s gone.
Yikes! So I’ve been looking for a fast and easy URL and domain checker recently…
Well, in comes Domai.nr, which allows you to check out if the domain name you are thinking about getting is taken, or if it still available to be purchased.
Another cool feature is that if the domain name is taken, it gives you 20 alternate options that are extremely close to what your original domain name preference was. They do a wonderful job of cleverly coming up with alternative domains, and subdomains that don’t include .com in them.
As someone who tends to consider herself a minimalist, the simplistic design of Domainr is eye candy. I’ve been on many sites that have similar functions to Domainr, but have ads all around them and it’s almost painful to try to figure out the site, much less to try to navigate it.
What do you think of Domainr? Will you be using it in the future to search for domains?
And don’t forget, a good domain is part of getting your church online! Make it a part of your online strategy!

That site does look nice without ads and all. I’ve been using http://instantdomainsearch.com/ for at least a year now, but this one looks like it might take its place.
Thanks!

Domainr is a nice tool to use. Especially for quick domain searches. I used it in starting my blog; however, it wasn’t the only tool I used.

I use and prefer domize.com

Pretty cool!
I’ll def. share this with a friend of mine. He’s constantly thinking (and buying) random domains.
Thanks!!
