Convofy is a social network designed for your business. There was a feeling that businesses are not getting the value that they could be from social networking, and so the creators decided to build Convofy.
As you can see from the video narrated by a rather creepy sounding dude, Convofy has some pretty special features which would work beautifully within a workplace and help to better the team workflow.
I think that Convofy is especially cool for it’s features surrounding real documents and images. The way that in an IM or DM you can just pull people straight to the part of a document that you are referring to is very cool and very time saving, I like that feature a lot and my feeling is that it is very unique.
Convofy also has build a mobile web browser site, which can be accessed from any smartphone web browser. In my mind an app would have been nicer, but I suppose that for a start up creating an app for multiple platforms could be quite a pain in the ass! I guess the most popular ones would have been iOS, Android, and BlackBerry, that would have been really neat, as I expect that a lot of users would want to use this on their mobile.
Here are some of the other features that Convofy offer:
- Microblogging & Status Updates
- Sharing Files & Images with Unlimited Storage
- Sharing Blogs, Articles, Web Links
- Sharing To-Dos & Milestones
- Presence and Company Chat
- Motivational Analytics
- Employee Profiles
- Mobile App
- Private and Secure
- Groups
- Unlimited Storage
- Unlimited Users
- Administrative Tools
- Guest Users
- Security Controls
- Network Wide Keyword Search
- Priority Support
Convofy certainly seems to have got the thumbs up from various respected people:
In terms of pricing the basic version is free, and the premium with extra admin controls is $5 a month per user.

Looks like they took some heavy inspiration from Yammer.
