I couldn’t just let 5 be the magic number of helpful PM apps for the money-tight ministry…! So, here are 5 more for you to consider before you jump in head first.
[See the first 5 Free Project Management Apps here.]
Make sure you test them yourself, take them for a spin, and make sure they meet exactly (or as close as possible) the requirements that you’re looking for. You’re not going to want to commit and then back-track, that always is less-than-pleasant.
Ready? Here you go killer:
1. Open Workbench
Microsoft Project, watch out! They think they’re as good to be a competitor! Another tall order!
2. SugarCRM
Under the GNU (GPL) Open Source License, SugarCRM is a popular choice. You’ve probably heard about it already.
3. dotProject
Another typical PM software suite. Nothing too special but could be just what you’re looking for.
4. GanttProject
Guess what? It makes GANTT charts! But you can do more than that; assign resources, create PERT charts, collaborate, and more. Good community behind this.
5. jxProject
And last but not least, jxProject! Task dependencies, resource scheduling, timeline formatting and resource management, this one’s a complete one.
