We’ve gone from churches in the barn to air-conditioned buildings to full on-stage performances and now we can live stream and tithe towards our church from the comfort of our own home. The next big technology being touted for churches is Virtual Reality which I have talked about a couple of years ago and we discussed on the podcast.
Some churches have already bought into it and the Bible Museum in Washington D.C. even has a virtual tour you can go through to see their location with a unique perspective of the Bible.
John Crist gives a satire from the vantage point of the non-techie that is not hyped up on what this coulde be, but definitely the drawbacks that we may easily be overlooking because we are so excited. It’s definitely meant to be funny, but also there is quite a bit of truth in his video.
