Eep!
A recent study performed by Ottowa-based Blaze Software reveals that Android’s mobile Web browser is significantly faster than the mobile Safari browser found on Apple’s iPhone. Blaze performed 45,000 separate tests using 1,000 different websites along with its mobile measurement service, and found that Android was 52% faster on average.
What do you say to that iPhone users?
Scott says
This is old news and was proven to be false a while back ago. They didn’t use safari to test against the android native browser. They used their software (blaze) which we all know that the iPhone safari has a huge JavaScript performance boost in this last release that is not available to embeded browsers (like blaze). So, to make it short – it wasn’t a good comparison and they got a little blasted in the press for making these claims. Read the comments down below in their blogs and you’ll see a lot of what I’m talking about. Still a good debate though! 🙂
