Two years ago the British Heart Foundation released one of the funniest how to’s ever: How to do hands only CPR with famous British soccer player-turned-actor Vinnie Jones (who is known for playing tough bad guys by the way). Set to the music of Staying Alive, it showed how to do CPR in an hilarious, but easy to remember way.

If you are mixing the Sunday morning worship service and you need to dampen the toms, but turn-up your female backup vocals, what do you do?

A colleague recently shared a thought from a Facebook group he is part of that seemed to condone the use of pirated software in churches. It’s hard for me to believe that there are churches out there that would think this practice is ok and fine, but I would imagine most church leaders don’t even know it’s happening.
For the record, using pirated software is illegal, carries fairly hefty fines, and the likelihood of getting caught is going up quickly due to “rewards” being offered to those who come across software piracy. I suppose I should also spell out what software piracy is for those who are unsure of what it looks like.
Your church needs church management software, but you don’t know where to start. So pick up the phone and call the first vendor that comes up on your Google search and they’ll tell you what you need, right? Wrong. Diving right in without knowing what your church needs is a recipe for disaster. The vendors will be able to help you determine if their system can do everything you need it to, but only you know what you need to accomplish. So before jumping in, take some time to figure out exactly what your goals are, and how you want to achieve them.
Here are some tips to help you do that:
