I’m convinced that one of the absolute best ways to keep your mind sharp in the programming field is to work small puzzles, problems, and projects that keep your mind sharp.
And face it: projects can be daunting because they’re typically weeks (or even months) worth of work to complete. No one wants to work on something of that magnitude when they’ve only got a few minutes to spare.
Perhaps Code Golf is an option?
Code Golf is one of the newer Stack Exchange sites that asks programming problems and then has community members provide their take on the answer.
If this isn’t of particular interest, try one of the others. My personal favorite is Stack Overflow (on which I spent way too much time this morning. Yikes. :)).
In fact, if any of you have an account on any Stack Exchange site, link it up in the comments!
