I’m still wondering if the social media bubble is going to burst or if we will be forever stuck in the seemingly endless loop of multiple social media platforms that “everyone should join.” At some point, I think a certain amount of fatigue will set in and some of these peripheral networks may fall to the wayside, or the ‘big guns’ will loose users to niche networks and communities.
No matter what the future holds for social media, understanding how it flows, today, is important to make the most of our efforts to reach people as effectively as possible.

It’s interesting to see how people cycle through social networks throughout the day. If you know when these networks are the most active, you can be sure to engage each platform accordingly when posting church information and updates.

I would think that social media traffic is going to really vary depending on who you’re reaching, too. Something to think about, too.
