With the release of Google+ Hangout On Air to everyone, ministries need to be taking note of how they can use this amazing tool!
For some people, this could be a game changer. Yet, with a new medium of communication, people need to come up with ways to use it. We have a few idea for you here, but we want to hear how you would use it too.
- Live Video Podcasts
I follow several youth ministry podcasts and this tool could take podcasts to a whole new level. Let your audience watch you live, engage with the content, and grow a community! - Record Sermons
Some churches are using social media extremely well, but now they have the ability to stream their sermons live as well as have a recording of it on YouTube when you are done recording. So amazing! - Invite Missionaries Into Worship
I have no doubt some crazy YouTube music video will come out where they record a music video using Google+ Hangout where each musician is apart of the hangout. (OK Go?) But we could allow missionaries across the world to worship with the congregation and listen in on the Sunday message! Sweet. - Perfect Promotional Opportunities
Many people do service projects, soup kitchen work, and what not. Why not show it off during a youth group or Sunday sermon and then post the video on Facebook as a promo for the Church? Yes!
For those that want to know more about Google+ Hangout On Air, here is a quick video of it.

Henry says
I can see our ministry, or others like us, using Google+ Hangout to include many people from from many regions of the city, state, country, or globe, in one single prayer meeting. This brings a whole new dimension to coordinating a prayer movement!
