Ampergram: Creating Typographic Compositions

This is the kind of typographic composition I’m talking about (pictured above).

Ampergram is a cool creative app–online, iOS and Android–that let’s you capture, tag, type and share typographic creations.

Here’s how it works:

The mobile apps will cost you, but the desktop app is completely free to use.

To create an online composition, simply select the size and dimension of grid you would like and begin typing!

Ampergram pulls letters from the Instagram library that is curated by those who submit their own photos.

Once you’ve finished, it’s time to share:

Your creation will also be automatically added to the their public feed; and as you can see, there are plenty of other sharing options, too. From download to social share, there’s plenty to choose from.

If you would like to add your Instagram to the community, start by tagging your cropped Instagram photos of letters (i.e. #A).

Learn more, create your own and download the iOS and Android apps from the Ampergram website.

If you’ve created one, be sure to share the link in the comments!
