When I first heard about the Prayer Tracker, I thought it would be cheesy.
(Isn’t it sad that our first reaction to most “Christian Technology” is that it’s going to be lame?)
Prayer Tracker is not.
It’s simple, it’s free, and it’s awesome!
Prayer Tracker
Prayer Tracker is broken down into three easy to use sections:
Daily
This is your daily prayer reminders. Praying for your spouse, kids, pastor, etc …
UnAnswered
This is where you add your prayer requests. It also has a badge number on the tab so you can keep track of how many prayers are unanswered, a great reminder to PRAY!
Answered
Once a prayer from the UnAnswered section gets marked as “Answered” you can set the date it was answered and also update the prayer with how it was answered. All prayers are labeled with the date they were answered and sorted by the latest answered.
Share
This is a really slick feature! You can share any prayer. You can setup groups of contacts to send your prayers. Create a “Small Group” group and add your contact’s email addresses. When you click on the group name, an email will automatically be created with your prayer inserted and your groups email addresses added.

Told you it was pretty.

Funny thing is that I ignored this post because I thought the same thing… cheesy. That is terrible too for me to think that but then I was thinking about if I could implement it into my routine(s) cause that is what OCD people do. My pastor recommended starting a prayer journal and then showed me several of his. I was blown away by his prayers so I am still working through that. He wrote his in a notebook. I haven’t handwritten anything significant since thank you cards from my wedding 5 years ago so I am looking for a desktop version/blog/app or something to start my prayer journal. This may be it…

Thanks for your honesty, Brad. Many run blindly to the defense of Christian tech, good or bad.
This one looks like a #WIN to me!

I’ve never thought of having a prayer category in my todo list/app, but this has given me the idea.

I’m the guy that wrote this app. Thanks so much for reviewing it! It was my first attempt at writing a iPhone app. I’ll be pushing a update soon that allows for password protecting the app. Enjoy!
Eric Dye says
That would be a GREAT update!
Brad Moss says
I submitted the update yesterday with passcode protection. It should be available soon once apple approves it.
Eric Dye says
Sweet! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Our church is scheduled to participate in the Prayer Dare in September. This app may be quite beneficial to some in our congregation.
Thanks for sharing. So totally not lame. Stay blessed…john

Great to hear!
Jonny Solari says
I like the idea of being able to share the prayers with others but am i the only one who thinks the answer vs unanswered section seems like it’s testing the sucess rate of prayer? I could be getting the wrong end of the stick so please let me know what you think about it.
Tim Payne says
Honestly, knowing Brad, that wasn’t the intent at all.
The Unanswered section is really just a place to put the things that you are currently praying for – not a way to judge whether or not praying for something was “successful”.
The Answered section is so you can look back later and have a reminder of the ways that prayers were answered. For people like me,
that’s great because it’s easy sometimes to focus more on the negative stuff that’s going on, so the Answered section is a good reminder of the prayers that have been answered and ways that God has provided.

Well Mr Solari, since you asked I will offer you some guidance . The app is titled…. Prayer tracker. Several of the comments suggest this is the same thing as a prayer journal. I don’t really understand why we would just right off the bat question the apps motive and since you asked. The app allows for people to share success stories. There is no statistical record book to keep track of when the almighty isn’t listening. Take the app for what it is. Don’t try and find a negative spin on it just because the debate can be made. This app helped me keep track of things that were important to me and that I should be asking for help with or giving thanks for. Brad/creator is truly a incredible person with the purest heart and I applaud his attempt at using his skills for good instead of making millions at Apple. 🙂
Thanks
