Well, maybe you should follow the advice of Marily Oppezzo and go for a walk.

I’m sure this isn’t the biggest shock to you. After all, many of us will get up to “clear our heads”, but I wonder if you actually put it into practice with your own work? Maybe you could go for a five-minute walk before you come up with ideas for social media posts, or go on a longer walk just before you attend a staff brainstorming session.
Recording Your Voice
The tip that stuck me the most was to record your ideas via speaking not writing. I can see Marily’s argument that you filter yourself when you write, but I wondered how practical it could really be. Well, it turns out that my iPhone has a brilliant set up for this. You can use the inbuilt voice memos app and press to record when you have an idea, press again to stop, walk for a bit longer and then press the red record button again to save a few more. This should miss out any long pauses between ideas that you might have which would make it much tougher to listen back to.
Not being an Android user at the moment, I can testify if there is a similarly easy to use app on Android, but I’d bet there is. In fact, I’d prefer a voice recording app to work by holding my finger to record and it would stop after I pulled my finger off so maybe there is one like that.
Do you brainstorm while walking?
