Here is an interesting app that takes mobile technology further than I would have ever imagined.
It’s called, Confession: A Roman Catholic App and does exactly what the title says.

In Atlantic City, several firefighters were promoted at the City Council chambers. Upon realizing there was no Bible to place their hands-on during the ceremony, someone quickly pulled-up a Bible app on their iPad and the ceremony proceeded.

It’s been in the news for over a year now, but we’ve always suspected it. Labor conditions in China have never been as they should, as human rights violations run rampant in the country.
Why would Apple, Samsung and the others be any different?
This video from CNN capsulizes many of the stories that were bubbling around Apple’s Foxcom news that broke last year:

Are you giving anything up for Lent this year?
I’m afraid we focus far too much on what we’re giving up and not enough on what we’re thankful for. Lent shouldn’t be all about leaving Facebook and giving up coffee, it’s a time to thoughtfully pray and take positive steps in changing the world around us for the better. In the end, we become more thankful and focused in our daily Christian walk. What a great way to prepare ourselves for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection!
That’s why I love this iOS and Android app from Christian Aid:

If you’ve got more than one iDevice in your home, it can get a little confusing as to who’s charger you should be using.

This past Summer I reviewed a set of devotional apps for iOS/Android. They were pretty solid, but I had a few critiques:
“The $1.99 price point seems a little high, to me, considering you’re only paying for features while the content has simply been regenerated.
Now, had this entire list of apps been crammed into one, you’d be a fool not to jump on it! [bold added]
Despite the price point, if you’re in the need for a daily devotional app, this is one to consider. I read a hardback version of Streams, so the Daily Streams app is really tempting me! It would be great to have it on my mobile device!”
I hope it isn’t too weird that I quoted myself, but I thought I would save you a click to the post. 😉
The developer of this fine app followed my advice and now delivers all five devotionals into one app! It’s EPIC!
