When the Jetpack plugin first came out for WordPress.org, I was pretty excited. It bundled a number of features that I almost always need when setting up blogs and websites, and being packaged into one tidy plugin made it a really nice solution.
Over time, however, Jetpack has added feature after feature. Some I could live without while others have been a real joy. Of course, all of these features come with a price. Jetpack is always requiring an update and it’s getting dangerously close to becoming a bloated plugin.
None the less, this lasted update to Jetpack is one of those steps forward that makes me smile.
TEDTalks
Like the other shortcodes made available by Jetpack, to add a TEDTalk is as easy as this:
“[ted id=66]”
Easy, right?
When you’re watching a TEDTalk and you want to share it on your blog, here’s what you do:
Paste in your blog post and you’re all set!
What is your favorite Jetpack feature?
What would you like to see next?

Nice. Stoked for this integration of TED.
My favorite Jetpack feature is probably Publicize right now.

Nice. I need to dig into that. Could be a sweet time saver.
