*** UPDATE ***
We have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!
“What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930>.”
Editor’s Note: We’re sorry to have gotten your hopes up! 🙁

Anytime someone offers something free to the masses people can be skeptical. Rightfully so too. You have to buy one and only then do you get the item free. Or you have to sign up and then get it free. Etc, etc right? Well Adobe has just released an entire download of their CS2 Premium Plus Suite for free; and while you have to create an Adobe account, that’s free too.
This can easily be a gift for those just starting out in the design world or for those looking to upgrade for cheap. It could be for a little cousin of yours, or an Aunt or Uncle who always ask you for the most random designs with hour contraints that go something like this:
You: So when do you need this Uncle Eddie?
Uncle Eddie: Well, if you can, I need this by today.
You: Oh, really.
Uncle Eddie: Yeah, but I’m sure someone like you can knock stuff like this out in a few hours nephew. It’s just a logo, poster, and postcard. Shouldn’t take long right??
You: ….(silent frustration)
So sign up Uncle Eddie and the rest of the family and friends who need to learn just how “easy” it is, so they don’t always come to you for the fun designs.
Thanks Adobe!
So what do you think about this? Will you get it for yourself or someone else?
This could be the perfect solution for some churches and non-profits, too!

No fun indeed Bob. Hopefully the link will begin working for everyone. Oh Adobe

Tried following link but cannot get page to load at moment. Sounds great, if I can get this on my youth work laptop It’ll save me from having to take my personal computer to work.

Link appears to not work now in Chrome or Firefox.
Marcus Williamson says
Oh wow. That’s intense.
Darius says
This is awesome! But when I click on the link, it’s taking me to Adobe’s 404 page?
Marcus Williamson says
I hear a other people are experiencing the same problem. They said to just keep clicking and eventually you’ll get it 🙂 Cheers
Darius says
I’ll keep trying 🙂
Thanks!
Marcus Williamson says
Let us know when you get it bro 🙂

Mike says
No luck yet. I’ll keep clicking
Neil says
Now getting “Site Area Temporarily Unavailable” page 🙁
Neil says
Got the page to load, but as James said might wait until tonight to download it
Marcus Williamson says
Glad you got the page to load. Some are still experiencing the unavailable page. James is def on to something for sures. Cheers
jen says
Broken link or Adobe’s mistake? Adobe site says it’s unavailable…
Marcus Williamson says
Probably Adobe’s mistake for not thinking through it well? Maybe? Who know’s though. What we do know is that it’s free, and with a timely click, you could be getting it for free 🙂
Keep trying and let us know when you get it
Joseph Lalonde says
Saw this from Dustin. Getting the same error as Darius. Bummer…
Marcus Williamson says
Yeah dude. Just keep finger on the clicker 🙂 You’ll get in eventually
Garrett says
Adobe is not giving away free copies. See Adobe’s response at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4974662
Marcus Williamson says
That is interesting for sure. We’ll keep following it and see what happens. I wonder who actually got the chance to download it. Since I have CS5 I never really attempted to. Figured it could be useful for others for sure.
But yeah, guess we’ll see what happens. It’s odd to see it go viral from so many trusted sites. Seems like they are not from that forum though.

Interesting article here on Forbes. A bit embarrassing, eh? Might want to take this post down. I reposted your article to my FB wall and had a few followers get pretty upset that hey wasted the time on this and then read the Forbes article..
