Local Motors has put together the world’s first 3D printed car. After only 44-hours, the Strati was printed and assembled with non-printed parts. With a top speed of 40mph and a battery range of 120-150 miles, it’s not going to be the next muscle car, but is certainly shows what the future of automobiles could be.
Can you imagine ‘having your new car printed?’

And here it is on the road!
Now here’s the ‘bad news.’ It costs between $18,000 to $30,000. So, again, this isn’t the solution for today, but it still may very well be the future of tomorrow.
Cool stuff. 🙂
