If you’re not familiar with them, FellowshipOne is a popular CMS that has been in the industry for about 6 years.
Their newest release focuses on fleshing out the communication functionality, particularly for social media. The email editor now supports automatic removal of those nasty Microsoft Word formatting tags that show up when you paste into an online text editor.
Which, while certainly not revolutionary, will certainly be a welcome step up for FellowshipOne users.
Social Media Links in Profiles
Individual profiles now come with social media links (the graphic shows Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) to allow a member to be found directly from the CMS.
While a small step in the right direction, adding social support recognizes that people communicate in more ways than just email. In fact I meet more and more people who only check their email once or twice a week. How often does Facebook get checked?
Everyday.
The full release can be found on the FellowshipOne Blog.

This update also introduced a regression that made it so we couldn’t export people queries (something our church does several times a day )and since they launched this update with huge fanfare they didn’t revert to the previous stable codebase our organization was not happy.
