Another one I’d add is a variant on number 7- excessive use of different types text formatting. So many websites (particularly ones trying to sell something) use so many different colors of text highlighting, multiple fonts, and an assortment of text sizes. Apart from the fact that it looks rather unprofessional, it is frustrating to read and makes me want to leave their site.

#7- Poor Legibility: sorry but this Infographic is a great example of this very thing! I could only make out the headlines (which should not have been done in Script) All of it was too pastel, there wasn’t enough contrast. Otherwise, I agree with the list.
Also, a pet peeve of mine is trying to read a website with light colored text on a medium-grey background. Please do not do this! It makes me feel like I’m blind- gotta be bad for the peepers. USE CONTRAST!
Thank you:)

I agree. This article is a perfect example to leave. Can’t read the faded colours. In fact I didn’t read most of it – scrolled to the bottom to leave a constructive comment & then left. (¯`·._.·ns¢ävË·._.·´¯)
