What is that you ask?
That is a gadget that has gotten me more excited than I have ever been about a gadget.
What you see above is called the Little Printer. It has been created by a design house called BERG in London, UK and looks absolutely amazing.
The product announcement from BERG came a few days ago and since then it has gone viral and very much done the rounds on the social networks, with the into video clocking almost 1 million views at the time of me writing this blog post! Wowzers!
So, what exactly is Little Printer? Well, it is a cute little wireless printer that requires no computer to use. It pulls cool information form the cloud and prints it thermal style onto receipt paper. The way BERG sell it is that it is like a personal printing press, whereby you can request a personalised mini publication daily, giving you news, puzzles, social network info, photos, your schedule etc depending on what you would like printed.

The product isn’t due to launch until 2012 – whether that means 1st January or later in the year is still unclear, however I am very much hoping that it comes sooner rather than later.
You see, I personally can’t stop thinking about this printer and how I would use it! It is very much a mix of web technology and analogue creativity, which very much fits my personality type. However, people online have been seriously slating this product, perhaps not understanding how they might use it, and also having concerns over the “waste” of paper. Personally I think that there are much worse wastes of paper than this if you look at the bigger picture!
So – what do you think?

This little booger would eliminate the scores of illegible post-it notes and index cards I create. It would also be great to print out a memory verse to slip into my pocket!
