[Editor’s Note: Zip Campaign seems to have ended. // July 2011]
The “coupon” run on the web has neared the level of “frenzy” as sites like Groupon and many others are emerging to take advantage of the obvious potential land grab that exists (or does it?).
Perhaps you’re not a fan or perhaps you realize that coupons are definitely not a thing of the past!
With this new service you could create your own coupons for your own small business:
ZipCampaign seeks to allow you to do just that;
Zip Campaign helps you tap into the power of social media by making it incredibly easy to publish coupons and promotions to Facebook, Twitter, or your website and track their progress as they spread.
Neat.
Would this concept even work in the context of ministry? Coupons for ministry events and even Sunday Service? Would that be “weird”? There have been more weirder things though.

John – Thanks so much for your write up! Using social coupons in the context of ministry is an interesting idea. Zip Campaign is designed to help promotions spread, and I can’t think of a better way the tool could be used than to spread the Truth.
One way you could do this is by using Zip Campaign to help spread information. If a church or ministry had an E-Book, a sermon download, or some music to share, they could publish the promotion via Zip Campaign. When someone claims the promotion it would spread to their friends!
Looking forward to connecting with you more in the future!
– Grant
