It’s one thing to scrap a band together and crank out an album or two. It’s something else entirely to make music for 20 years, tour around the globe and win four GRAMMYs.
Third Day has done all that and in many ways, is just getting started.
In their latest album, Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship, Third Day returns to a theme of praise while incorporating their southern rock roots.
Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship by Third Day
The 22 tracks on the deluxe album hold true to Third Day’s signature sound while standing on equal footing with the prolific Hillsong machine. And that’s saying something.
What I love about Third Day, besides music that cuts to the heart and gets me moving, is that they are real, every day kind of guys.
They have families, root for their favorite college football teams, and enjoy a good basket of BBQ. Front man Mac Powell even liked and commented on my Instagram photos of the new album cover.

Third Day isn’t content to milk their legacy for all it’s worth and release a lackluster album filled with the same stuff formulaic tunes. No way, these guys bring their A-game with Lead Us Back and I can’t stop listening to it on repeat.
