This is the seventh article in the series Publishing Your Own eBook series.
When you write this eBook, unless you are going through a publisher or are a celebrity within your expertise, you will need to figure out how to market this well. One of the best ways of doing this within the construction of your ebook is to have forewords and quotes from other influential people in your field. If done well, this can be part of your great marketing to come soon. So let’s look at how we can do this well.
- Networking
As you have been writing, researching, and making the best eBook you can, I am sure you have connected with people that know what they are talking about, sharing great stories, and probably being advocates for what you are creating. These people will make great marketers and distributors of your eBook as we get to the end, but they can be great for the content right now. It doesn’t hurt to ask! - Forewords
When you have finished the book, give it to a couple of people to read through. You may want to have them correct grammar and content, but with fresh eyes, have them read through the whole book and offer a great two or three paragraph foreword and then give them a little link love at the end. - Quotes
These quotes can be used many ways. I have seen people style one quote as the only content on a single page large and to divide up chapters well. Others have ensured that all quotes are tweetable (including the characters in the person’s username). And still others actually link these quotes to ClicktoTweet.com so that when they click on it in the PDF file, you will be able to instantly tweet it. Great marketing tool, wonderful way to get awesome resources!
All of these pieces are nothing on their own, but very necessary in the concept of eBooks! How would you include these into your eBook well?
