One of the things that makes YouVersion so amazing, is how much they love their app.
Let’s face it, it’s one heck of an app for being free. They’re always making tweaks to all their platforms and making them better.
The most recent improvement was for the Android, and they’ve put together some “major enhancements.”
The Bible App for Android Is Packed with More Awesome
The first thing you’ll notice is it’s now faster and easier to use.
You’ll also find:
Slide Out Menu
Now you can have quick and easy access to the Bible App’s features. While on any Bible App screen, simply touch the menu icon to get the full menu.
Slick!
Available Actions Popup
Wherever you are, when you tap a verse, a handy context-sensitive menu now pops up, with icons for everything you could do with that verse. Tap the verse, then tap what you want to do. It’s fast and easy.
Today View
On the top of the slide out menu, you’ll see the “Today” view option. This will display the Verse of the Day, one-tap access to common tasks, reading plans and more.
The Today view is also the new default home screen.
Cleaner Interface
All in all, the cleaner interface is going to make YouVersion easy on the eyes and easier to use. A win-win.
They’re subtle tweaks, but I’m sure you’ll find it all-in-all a very refreshing change.

The changes to the highlighting and bookmarking are really buggy. Support says they’re rolling out another release this week.

Eww. That’s not good. But hey, they’re working on it! WOOT!

I just have two problems with this update. First, low light mode isn’t carried out through the entire app. Second, live events are really ugly now.

You should ping’em. I bet they would appreciate the feedback.

Or they should just read ChurchMag 😀
