There’s such a great range of online Bibles and study/devotional tools on the web, many of which have already been featured on ChurchMag!
However, with so many it can be hard to find one that ‘fits’ with you. So I thought this could be great place to share the (online) Bible Study/Devotions we use as I’m sure there will be some great hidden gems that ChurchMag readers haven’t found before.
And being able to get a daily study/devotional in an app or via a feed can make accessing them really easy when you’re on the go. In the past I’ve used a range of services going back to when they were synced on my palm pilot (old school!).
Currently I’m following the Reading God’s Story: One-Year Chronological Plan (one year Bible) on YouVersion and use the Daily Devotional from Chuck Swindol of Insight for Living. I also listen to the Pray As You Go podcast (in the UK).
For a good option that’s available both online and offline there’s The Word for Today from UCB Media (also in the UK).
So those are what I use.
What about you!?
Please share your favourite online Bible Study and Devotions.

I prefer the NRSV, so appreciate the “Today’s Bible Reading” options at http://www.elca.org/What-We-Believe/The-Bible/Todays-Bible-Reading.aspx
They provide ad-free email, RSS feed and Javascript “web panel” versions of a daily reading chosen from “Revised Common Lectionary Daily Readings,” prepared by Consultation on the Common Texts.
James Cooper says
Thanks Paul.

There are several different Bible reading plans at http://net.bible.org/#!daily/daily. I’ve always wanted to do the Bible in 90 Days, but the Bible-in-a-year plans are more my speed.

Thanks Mr NET Bible! I found a few more at: http://bible.org/Daily_Bible_Reading_Plans

They have many options for reading programs. The also have some nice online tools from commentaries to study Bibles, the ability to add parallel version. I enjoy their product.
James Cooper says
Thanks Kevin. I’d got their app but had forgotten about the devotions on there 🙂

Joyce Meyer, canonical bible in a year, both in youversion.
I use to read hearthlight – what Jesus do ( heartlight.mobi/view.php?resource=wjd) as well.

I use iMissal for daily Mass Scripture readings, and I love escrivaworks.org for it’s free source of works by Josemaria Escriva–especially “The Way.” I wish the latter had an app!
