Do you remember the world before the Internet?
Communication had to happen via clumsy fax machines, phone conversations that did not transfer printed data, or heaven-forbid snail mail. The Internet has TRULY changed the world and how we interact within it.
For ministries, we can contact or even Skype missionaries thousands of miles away if they are having problems. Churches can now accept offering in five different forms of payment. And getting the word out about a youth group’s service project could be as easy as posting a tweet or Facebook status.
Here are some of the key points of the infographic below:
- 1 minute of Twitter = 100,000 tweets.
- It took 4 months for the fall of Berlin but only 1 week for Egyptians to organize a revolution.
- There is 3.74 degrees of separation with the Internet, 6 without it.
