I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry.
Working On My Novel is a book written by Corey Arcangel on the difficult process of — as I am sure you can imagine — writing a novel. It is a collection of tweets from the many aspiring writers. Some funny, others sad, but all coming from those trying to write a novel.
Can you identify with any of these excerpts from the book?
As someone who is trying to bring their own novel together, I found it funny, sad, but mostly inspiring. It turns out that the novel idea of writing a novel takes more than just the interest of becoming a writer, but doing what every successful writer has done:
Write.

Such an intriguing book! I will send this link to the writers’ group that I meet with quarterly. They allow me to attend even though after three years I haven’t finished my novel. Belonging to a writers’ group helps me to recall that I have this project underway, and that I must work on it! They are very encouraging, as well as being willing to offer practical help, such as reading rough drafts and supplying coffee and chocolate as needed.
The most productive writing time I experienced was participating in National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo http://nanowrimo.org/forum_categories/517 By the end of the month there were 41,000 words in the book.
I wish you much success and God Speed with your novel, Eric!
